Zayne Lebray
Zayne imagines a world in which everyone can effectively achieve their goals, allowing unrestricted access to life. He sees a future for us where possibilities for action are abundant.
As a young athlete, Zayne trained with the conventional standards baseball players are accustomed to. Yet, he noticed a pattern that he was regularly recovering from ankle and knee injuries, and the path to healing, building muscle, and becoming a better athlete was always interrupted by another setback.
Later he discovered the irony that the very strength and conditioning routines he was practicing were often the culprits of stalled progress. He felt his athletic potential was just out of reach. As injuries led to anxiety mounting, as he saw his opportunities slip away, he got curious.
Zayne began studying awareness-based movement practices, working as a Qi-gong instructor and later a certified FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) trainer in Orlando, FL.
Zayne then studied with a Somatic Experiencing Educator where he learned that no matter how stuck you feel or how limited your choices may seem, there is always more. He wasn’t able to embody these wise words until he was introduced to Functional Patterns.
As a Functional Patterns Human Foundations Practitioner Zayne specializes in Ecological Dynamics and skill acquisition. Whether it’s working with athletes developing strength, skill, and endurance, or people recovering from physical injuries who are looking for a different approach to physical therapy, Zayne applies Functional Patterns to help his clients meet their goals and achieve real outcomes.
His training philosophy incorporates the body and environment so you can apply biomechanics in your day-to-day life where the world calls you to move – be it an early morning sunrise hike, gardening, tennis, swimming, or learning to dunk a basketball.
His sessions are centered around each client’s very own aspirations, and he helps build mobility and strength no matter what the person’s baseline physical condition might be.
